Abu dhabi: The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the outcome of the trilateral talks hosted by the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi, which brought together the United States of America, the Russian Federation, and Ukraine, resulting in an agreement to exchange 314 prisoners between the Russian and Ukrainian sides under United States mediation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the agreement as a step towards advancing a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.
The statement reiterated the Kingdom of Bahrain's support for and appreciation of regional and international efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive and lasting political solution to end the war in Ukraine through dialogue and negotiations. It also emphasized the need to mitigate the humanitarian repercussions of the conflict, contributing to enhancing security and stability in the European continent and consolidating peace and sustainable prosperity at regional and international levels.
