Muscat: A delegation from the Bahrain Space Agency (BSA), led by Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, Chief Executive Officer of the Agency, participated in the Middle East Space Conference 2026, organised by Oman's Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology in partnership with Nova Space, and hosted in the Sultanate of Oman.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation included Roaya Rashid Bubshait, Head of Geospatial Analytics, and Rasha Yasser Al Amad, Chief of Strategic Planning and Projects. Their participation illustrates Bahrain's commitment to strengthening regional and international cooperation in the space sector, and to exchanging expertise and showcasing national projects and developments.
On the sidelines of the conference, the delegation took part in the 12th meeting of the Arab Space Cooperation Group. During this meeting, Rasha Al Amad chaired the committee responsible for drafting the group's strategic plan, while Roaya Bubshait delivered the Kingdom of Bahrain's presentation.
Members of the delegation also participated in technical and panel sessions and held bilateral meetings with representatives of space agencies and international companies. These interactions were aimed at exploring cooperation opportunities, following up on ongoing projects, and developing new partnerships to support the growth of Bahrain's space sector.
The BSA's participation highlights Bahrain's engagement in regional and international space dialogue and its contribution to building an integrated Arab space ecosystem that supports sustainable development.
