Bahrain Secures Three Gold Medals at IMMAF World Championships in Georgia

Tbilisi: The Bahrain national mixed martial arts (MMA) team emerged victorious at the IMMAF World Championships, clinching three gold medals in Tbilisi. The event was part of the fifth edition of BRAVE International Combat Week 'Georgia 2025.'

According to Bahrain News Agency, Arsen Suleymanov claimed victory in the Junior 93kg category, Gimbat Magomedov triumphed in the Senior 79.4kg division, and Ghazi Gaziev won the Senior 88.4kg category. These accomplishments positioned Bahrain as the leading Arab nation in the global competition.

Mohamed Qambar, President of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation, expressed pride in the team's achievement, noting it extends the Kingdom's success in international sports. He acknowledged the support of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

Qambar also praised the contributions of His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council, for his close follow-up and support of the team's progress.

President Mohamed Qambar highlighted that the medals reflect the skill and determination of Bahraini athletes, serving as an incentive for further achievements. This success consolidates Bahrain's position as a regional and international centre for mixed martial arts.

He emphasized the federation's commitment to preparing a new generation of fighters to represent Bahrain in international competitions, commending the efforts of the administrative and technical teams that contributed to this result.
