Bahrain Represents at 75th Executive Bureau Meeting of Arab Justice Ministers

Manama: Dr. Mohammed Mujbil, Assistant Undersecretary for State Cases and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, represented the Kingdom of Bahrain at the 75th meeting of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers. The meeting was held in preparation for the Council's 41st session.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting covered several agenda items, including draft resolutions on the Arab Convention for the Suppression of Terrorism and the Arab Convention on Combating Information Technology Offences. Discussions also included a draft resolution aimed at strengthening Arab and international cooperation in combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

Participants reviewed efforts to unify Arab legislation in areas such as drug control, hate speech, and the protection of children affected by armed conflict. The meeting also examined draft resolutions on the Arab Anti-Corruption Convention and the Draft Arab Convention on Personal Data Protection.

Mechanisms to enhance coordination between the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers and the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers were also discussed, in order to strengthen joint Arab action in the judicial and security fields. The meeting concluded with the adoption of the agenda items, which will be submitted for discussion and approval at the upcoming session of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers.
