Geneva: Bahrain’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla, recently met Dr. Robert Floyd, Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organisation (CTBTO), at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Bahrain and the CTBTO, with particular emphasis on technical coordination and capacity building.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting highlighted the importance of improving Bahrain’s National Data Centre and leveraging the CTBTO’s International Monitoring System. Both parties stressed the necessity of ongoing consultation and coordination to uphold the treaty’s objectives and bolster national capacities. This reflects Bahrain’s dedication to supporting international initiatives aimed at promoting global peace and security.
