Manama: Bahrain Radio is commemorating its 85th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in the Kingdom's media history. Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, highlighted this achievement as a reflection of Bahrain's pioneering role in regional broadcasting and its commitment to purposeful media.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the launch of Bahrain Radio on November 4, 1940, was a landmark event, projecting the Kingdom's voice globally and embodying the values and identity of Bahraini society. Dr. Al Noaimi noted that the station remains a key part of Bahrain's media landscape, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. These efforts are aimed at modernizing national media and showcasing the Kingdom's developmental progress.
Dr. Al Noaimi further emphasized that Bahrain's radio broadcasting has evolved significantly over the past eight decades, advancing in both content and form. It has become an institutional model rooted in professionalism and innovation while maintaining its national identity.
