Bahrain Participates in GCC Advisory Board Meeting in Kuwait

Kuwait City: Bahrain was actively represented in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) advisory board meeting held in Kuwait, marking the first meeting for the 28th session. Attendees from Bahrain included Ali Abdulla Al Aradi and Sabika Khalifa Al Fadhel from the Shura Council, and Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom and Hassan Eid Bukhmas from the Council of Representatives.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on strengthening GCC ties and advancing collaborative efforts to achieve political, economic, security, and social development across member states. Key discussions centered on the adoption of coordinated policies to tackle regional and global challenges, enhancing economic opportunities, and promoting innovation, education, technology, and sustainability.

The advisory board, responsible for providing counsel to the GCC Supreme Council, aims to support the council's progress and address future challenges. Established during the 18th session of the GCC Supreme Council in Kuwait in December 1997, the board was proposed by the late Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, to improve communication among member states.
