Bahrain participates in AALCO 59th Annual Session

Foreign Affairs Ministry’s Chief of Legal Affairs, Ambassador Mohamed Abdulrahman Alhaidan, headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain participating virtually in the 59th Annual Session of Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO), which is hosted by the People’s Republic of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, from November 29 to December 1.

Ambassador Alhaidan delivered the Kingdom of Bahrain’s speech, in which he affirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to international law and the rules established by international norms and formulated by international treaties related to international trade, in order to achieve the common interests between countries and their peoples.

He also stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has selected peace as a strategic choice to establish a just and comprehensive stability in the Middle East, by establishing a culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, and combating the ideology of extremism, fanaticism, and hatred, for the benefit of the peoples of the region and the world.

He affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to the principle of good neighbourliness, the rule of law, and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, pointing to the Kingdom’s leading role in supporting efforts to achieve international peace and security at the bilateral and international levels through its balanced political and economic relations.
