Bahrain Participates in 76th Executive Bureau Meeting of Arab Justice Ministers Council

Cairo: Fawzia Zainal, Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, participated in the 76th meeting of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers. The meeting was held in preparation for the Council's 42nd session and the 77th meeting of its Executive Bureau, scheduled to take place in Algeria. It focused on advancing Arab legal and judicial cooperation and reviewing the implementation of previous decisions. According to Bahrain News Agency, participants discussed measures to strengthen cooperation in combating terrorism, including the implementation of the Arab Convention for the Suppression of Terrorism. They also reviewed several draft model laws covering narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, prevention of hate speech, and the protection of children from recruitment in armed conflicts. The meeting further addressed initiatives of the Arab Center for Legal and Judicial Research. This included the launch of an Arab judicial and legal training platform and updates to its strategic framework for 2027-2030.
