Bahrain Non-Oil Exports Surge to BD338 Million in April 2025

Manama: Bahrain's non-oil exports of national origin reached BD338 million in April 2025, marking a 22% increase compared to the same period last year. This data emerges from the April 2025 Foreign Trade report released by the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA), which details the Trade Balance, Imports, national origin Exports, and Re-exports.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the report highlights that non-oil imports saw a 20% rise, totaling BD575 million in April 2025 compared to BD481 million in April 2024. The top 10 importing countries accounted for 68% of the total import value, with China leading at BD64 million (11%), followed by Australia at BD55 million (10%), and the United Arab Emirates at BD49 million (9%). Non-Agglomerated Iron Ores and Concentrates topped the list of imported products with a value of BD67 million (12%).

The report further indicates that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was the leading destination for Bahrain's non-oil exports (National Origin), recording BD81 million (24%). The United States came second with BD35 million (10%), and the United Arab Emirates was third with BD32 million (9%). Unwrought Aluminum Alloys emerged as the top export product, valued at BD105 million (31%).

In contrast, the total value of non-oil Re-exports decreased by 9% to BD71 million in April 2025 from BD78 million in April 2024. The United Arab Emirates was the leading re-export destination with BD30 million (42%), followed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at BD18 million (25%) and Luxembourg at BD5 million (7%). Turbo-Jets, Four wheel drive vehicles, and Gold Ingots were the primary re-exported products.
