Bahrain Leads MENA and GCC in Global Network Excellence Index

Manama: Bahrain has achieved the top rank in the MENA and GCC regions in the Global Network Excellence Index, a global benchmark assessing mobile network quality. This recognition was announced by OpenSignal, an independent analytics company.

According to Bahrain News Agency, this accomplishment underscores Bahrain's dedication to digital excellence, establishing it as a leader in telecommunications. The Kingdom was acknowledged for its superior 4G/5G availability, rapid download speeds, and dependable network quality. These accolades highlight Bahrain's advanced infrastructure and readiness to meet future digital demands.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has been instrumental in this success by fostering a regulatory environment that encourages innovation and ensures high service standards. Philip Marnick, General Director of the TRA, emphasized that this achievement showcases Bahrain's leadership in digital infrastructure and its commitment to providing reliable, high-quality connectivity. He remarked that the TRA has concentrated on developing a competitive and innovative telecom environment supporting world-class services.

Marnick attributed this success to the vision and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, whose leadership drives digital progress, and the forward-thinking policies of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. These efforts have bolstered Bahrain's position as a digital leader. He reaffirmed the TRA's dedication to advancing technology and further developing the Kingdom's digital ecosystem.

The achievement highlights TRA's continuous efforts to maintain Bahrain's leadership in telecommunications by aligning with global developments and setting regional benchmarks. The authority remains committed to supporting the Kingdom's vision for a robust and reliable digital future.
