Bahrain Judo Team Secures Second Place at Amman Asian Open 2025

Amman: The Bahrain national judo team achieved second place in the overall standings at the Amman Asian Open 2025, after winning seven medals, including five gold, one silver, and one bronze.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the team's gold medals were secured in the under 60kg, under 73kg, under 90kg, under 100kg, and over 100kg categories. Additionally, the team earned a silver medal in the under 73kg category and a bronze in the under 81kg category.

HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and President of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council, commended the achievement. He described it as a reflection of the ongoing development of combat sports in Bahrain.

Dr. Faisal Khalid KanoO, President of the Bahrain Judo Federation, also expressed his pride with the team's performance and highlighted the strong support for Bahraini sports.
