Bahrain Hosts Russian Culture Minister Amidst Series of High-Level Meetings

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted a series of significant events, including high-level meetings between Bahraini and Russian officials over the past 24 hours. The visit of the Russian Culture Minister to Bahrain was marked by multiple interactions with key government figures.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received the Russian Culture Minister, underscoring the importance of cultural ties between Bahrain and Russia. Additionally, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister held discussions with the Russian official, further solidifying diplomatic and cultural relations.

In other prominent engagements, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad issued two edicts for the year 2025 and crowned Al Khaldiya as the champions of a recent football cup. Meanwhile, the Information and Industry Ministers also met with the Russian Culture Minister to explore avenues for bilateral cooperation.

The Interior Minister had a meeting with the US Ambassador, while the Labour Ministry Undersecretary engaged with an Omani delegation to tackle anti-human trafficking efforts. These meetings reflect Bahrain's ongoing commitment to strengthening international partnerships and addressing global issues.

Furthermore, the Environment Minister marked Bahrain's participation in the 50th anniversary of the Arab Energy Fund in Saudi Arabia, and the Health Ministry announced a new requirement for meningitis vaccination for Hajj and Umrah travelers. The Education Minister discussed collaboration opportunities with Boston University, and the Social Development Minister met with the UNDP Resident Representative, emphasizing Bahrain's active role in international development and education sectors.

In a separate event, the Sustainability Forum Middle East, under the patronage of the Environment Minister, held its third edition to promote climate and energy resilience. The National Cyber Security Centre also launched the inaugural Cybersecurity Guardians Hackathon, demonstrating Bahrain's commitment to advancing technological and cybersecurity capabilities.
