Manama: The technical delegates meeting for the Asian Youth Games (Bahrain 2025) took place in Manama, gathering representatives from Asian National Olympic Committees and the Olympic Council of Asia. This meeting is an integral part of the preparations for the third edition of the Games, which are set to occur from October 22-31.
According to Bahrain News Agency, more than 3,500 athletes from 42 Asian countries are anticipated to participate in 24 sports spanning 31 sub-categories, totaling 253 events for men, women, and mixed teams. The competitions will unfold across multiple venues, including Isa Sports City, Khalifa Sports City, Exhibition World Bahrain, Endurance Village, and Sama Bay.
The meeting also included the presentation of the Head of Mission Guide, which was officially approved by the Olympic Council of Asia. Organisers announced that the accreditation system will begin in June, with a submission deadline set for July 31. Digital accreditation cards will be distributed in September, with the official accreditation centre opening on October 13.
In addition, a doping awareness programme will be implemented in coordination with relevant bodies, aligning with WADA regulations. This event marks Bahrain's inaugural hosting of the Asian Youth Games.
