Bahrain Highlights Recent Developments and Strengthens International Relations

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on local events that happened over the past 24 hours.

According to Bahrain News Agency, a series of significant meetings and discussions took place, highlighting Bahrain's ongoing efforts in diplomacy, national security, and economic development.

His Majesty the King issued Order (14) of 2026 and received cables from senior royals, officials, and Bahraini families. His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister met with the UK's Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East and North Africa. Furthermore, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister engaged with the 27th intake of the Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program (CPISP), emphasizing the importance of education and international cooperation.

The Deputy Prime Minister chaired the 302nd Ministerial Committee meeting, addressing key governmental issues. The Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force also received the UK Defence Senior Advisor for MENA, while HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad conducted a similar meeting, reflecting Bahrain's strategic partnerships in defense.

Bahrain affirmed its solidarity with the UAE in light of regional challenges. The Foreign Minister was active in diplomatic engagements, meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart and receiving phone calls from his counterparts in Egypt, Latvia, Greece, and Panama.

The Information Minister visited local newspapers to underscore the role of the press as a key partner in national development. Meanwhile, the Health Minister chaired the 10th GCC Ministerial Committee for Food Safety, reflecting Bahrain's commitment to regional health initiatives.

Engagements in economic and industrial sectors were also prominent. The Industry Minister met with the Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and received the Special Envoy of Korea's Foreign Minister. Additionally, the Oil Minister held discussions with the Japanese Ambassador.

The Municipalities Ministry allocated 12 agricultural plots in Buri, promoting agricultural development. The Interior Ministry conducted a comprehensive security and legal review following Iranian aggression, focusing on examining crimes and unlawful practices.

The National Guard Commander received the annual Hajj delegation of National Guard personnel, signifying the importance of religious observances. On Bahrain Press Day, the Speaker celebrated national progress and recognized the contributions of the media community, while the Shura Chairman highlighted the Bahraini press's role in strengthening national responsibility and loyalty.

In legal matters, 14 individuals were sentenced in separate cases involving violence and vandalism, with sentences of up to 5 years issued in two cases related to filming vital facilities.
