Bahrain Highlights International Peace Initiatives and Diplomatic Engagements

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted a series of significant events and initiatives that unfolded over the past 24 hours, showcasing the nation's commitment to peace and international cooperation.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty the King returned to Bahrain after chairing the Palestine Summit, signifying Bahrain's active role in regional diplomacy. Additionally, His Majesty extended congratulations to the President of Ghana, and received felicitations from the Minister of Transportation, further underscoring diplomatic engagements.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister made visits to the majlises of prominent Bahraini figures, including HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the late Abdullah Ahmed Nass, and the Al Jalahma family. The Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, alongside the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, congratulated HRH on his efforts.

The Foreign Minister emphasized the significance of the International Day for Peaceful Coexistence, which conveys Bahrain's message of tolerance, peace, and prosperity globally. This sentiment was echoed by the Information Minister and Justice Minister, who highlighted Bahrain's commitment to tolerance and the UN's adoption of Bahrain's initiative as a global achievement.

The Youth Minister, Education Minister, and Social Development Minister all commended Bahrain's leadership in promoting peace, while the Sustainable Development Minister emphasized the unification of global peace efforts through the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence.

In other developments, the Finance Ministry and Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance employee training, reflecting Bahrain's focus on economic development and education.

The Shura Council Chairman noted the UN recognition of the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence as a reflection of His Majesty the King's vision. Diplomatic engagements continued with the Shura Council Chairman receiving the Cypriot ambassador and meeting the Pakistani Ambassador to discuss strategic ties.

The Speaker of the Council reiterated Bahrain's global role in promoting peace through the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence. Meanwhile, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) participated in the International Tourism Berlin (ITB) Exhibition, highlighting Bahrain's tourism initiatives.

In collaboration news, Tamkeen and Coursera teamed up to support virtual training for Bahrainis, aiming to enhance skills and workforce readiness in the digital era.
