Riyadh: The Kingdom of Bahrain's handball team faced a setback at the Sixth Islamic Solidarity Games, losing 21-27 to the host nation, Saudi Arabia, in their second group match. Despite the loss, team member Salman Al Shaikh delivered an impressive performance by scoring eight goals. Bahrain is now set to compete against Iraq in their next match.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Bahrain is actively participating in the Games and aims to expand its current medal tally, which includes 12 medals, five of which are gold. In addition to handball, Bahrain's athletes are competing in other sports, including taekwondo, where Sara Jallab represented the nation in the women's under-70kg category. Jallab's efforts were commendable, although she faced defeats in her matches.
