Manama: Shaikh Adnan Al Qattan, Head of Bahrain's Hajj Mission, announced the completion of all logistical and field preparations to accommodate Bahraini pilgrims for the 1447 AH / 2026 Hajj season. The mission has been diligently working for more than five months to ensure high-quality services are available in Makkah and the holy sites.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the mission is operating under an integrated operational plan that involves 90 members across nine specialised committees. These committees focus on supervisory, service, security, medical, and transport aspects. They are tasked with serving 23 licensed tour operators, which will collectively accommodate a total of 4,625 pilgrims from among Bahraini citizens and residents.
Al Qattan highlighted that the first groups of pilgrims are scheduled to depart for the holy sites at the beginning of Dhu Al Hijjah, with the majority of tour operators leaving on the fourth, fifth, and sixth days of the month. Most tour operators have planned for their pilgrims to spend between 10 and 12 days at the holy sites.
He emphasized that the organisation of the mission is a reflection of the support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, as well as the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Al Qattan also commended the oversight by the Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs, chaired by Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf.
In addition, Al Qattan mentioned that coordination with tour operators has been achieved to ensure arrangements inside pilgrims' camps provide adequate space and comfort. He confirmed that all sites in Mina and Arafat are fully prepared and equipped with essential services and additional facilities.
Lastly, Al Qattan urged pilgrims to follow all instructions issued by Saudi authorities, Bahrain's Hajj Mission, and Bahraini tour operators. He also advised them to adhere to preventive health guidelines to avoid heat exhaustion and sun exposure during the Hajj season.
