Bahrain Focuses on Diplomatic and Economic Engagements

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted several notable local events and diplomatic engagements that unfolded over the past 24 hours.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister engaged in discussions with several newly appointed Undersecretaries and Assistant Undersecretaries, focusing on strategic government objectives. In a separate meeting, HRH also met with the CEO of DHL Express, emphasizing Bahrain's ongoing commitment to strengthening its logistical and economic ties.

In the realm of international relations, Bahrain expressed strong condemnation of the recent terrorist bombings in Damascus. The government also denounced an Iranian attack on Saudi and Qatari oil tankers, showcasing its stance against regional hostilities.

On the diplomatic front, the Deputy Prime Minister received the Indian External Affairs Minister, furthering bilateral ties between Bahrain and India. Additionally, the Bahrain National Guard signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the UAE National Guard, which marks a significant step in defense cooperation.

Economically, Bahrain took measures to bolster its logistics and transport sectors. The Finance Minister held discussions with DHL Express Global CEO, and the Transportation Minister participated in the first Global AI Governance Dialogue, underscoring Bahrain's focus on technological advancement and global cooperation.

In another development, the Justice Minister met with the Bahrain Chamber Chairman, reflecting ongoing domestic collaborations aimed at enhancing Bahrain's judicial and economic frameworks.
