Bahrain Film Festival Unveils New Visual Identity for Fifth Edition

Manama: The Bahrain Film Festival has announced the launch of its new visual identity in preparation for its fifth edition, which is scheduled to take place from October 30 to November 4, 2025, under the theme 'Short Films Great Stories'. The festival is organised by the Bahrain Cinema Club in partnership with the Ministry of Information.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Festival Director Ammar Zainal stated that the new theme reflects a focus on the depth of storytelling. Each design element is crafted to highlight the festival's narrative-driven approach. Zainal emphasized that the festival aims to underscore the notion that every seat holds a story, and every shadow awaits light to reveal its beauty, highlighting the significance of short films as mediums for impactful stories.

Zainal further explained that the new identity is inspired by the human spirit at the core of cinema. It portrays the cultural depth and historical roots of society, illustrating how each cinematic experience can tell stories that resonate emotionally and reflect Bahrain's rich cultural identity.

The festival concluded submissions for its official competition on July 20. The competition includes five categories: short narrative films, short documentary films, short animated films, student films, and Bahraini short films.

Now in its fifth edition, the Bahrain Film Festival is establishing itself as a platform for advancing cinematic arts and fostering cultural dialogue in the Arab world. It aims to showcase unique creative experiences and works that exceed expectations, underscoring its commitment to inspiring human storytelling.
