Bahrain Engages in Strategic Talks at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore

Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, the Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, represented Bahrain at the 22nd edition of the IISS Asia Security Summit, known as the Shangri-La Dialogue. The summit gathered prominent figures, including heads of state, government officials, and experts in the fields of defence, security, and strategic affairs.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali emphasized Bahrain's dedication to contributing to regional and international security and stability. He stressed the value of dialogue and exchanging perspectives as vital tools for addressing security challenges and enhancing strategic defence partnerships.

During the summit, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali engaged in meetings with Zaqy Mohamad, Senior Minister of State for Defence and Manpower, and Desmond Choo, Minister of State for Defence of Singapore. The discussions focused on strengthening Bahrain-Singapore relations, particularly in defence and security cooperation, and addressed regional and international developments of shared interest.

Additionally, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali held talks with K. Shanmugam, Coordinating Minister for National Security of Singapore. Their conversation centered on regional security developments and strategic coordination, aligning with the rapid changes occurring globally and serving mutual interests.
