Bahrain Engages in Strategic Dialogue at NAC-ICI Meeting

Brussels: A delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by Dr. Mohammed Ali Behzad, Ambassador of Bahrain to Belgium, participated in the meeting of the North Atlantic Council - Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (NAC-ICI) Meeting. The meeting was chaired by Mark Rutte, Secretary General of NATO, with the participation of representatives of partner missions to the Initiative.

According to Bahrain News Agency, in his remarks, the Ambassador expressed Bahrain's pride in the advanced relations with NATO under the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, noting that the partnership between both sides continues to demonstrate advanced coordination and positive engagement. He emphasised Bahrain's view of the Initiative as a key platform for strengthening constructive dialogue, practical cooperation, expanding areas of expertise exchange, and supporting joint projects that serve mutual interests and contribute to greater stability in the region and beyond.

The meeting reviewed cooperation between NATO and the Initiative's member states and included an exchange of views on key regional developments and their implications for security and stability. It also featured discussions on current regional developments and means to further enhance cooperation between NATO and the ICI partner countries, in line with the priorities outlined in NATO's Southern Neighbourhood Action Plan.
