Manama:Fatima Abdulla Al Dhaen, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Postal Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, participated remotely in the 11th meeting of the GCC Railways Authority Council.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting reviewed progress in implementing and operating the GCC railway project, as well as the findings of a study on its operational plan.
Discussions at the meeting focused on the technical, regulatory, and operational requirements needed to enhance the readiness and integration of the railway network across GCC countries.
Al Dhaen emphasized the importance of coordination and cooperation among GCC countries to complete the requirements for implementing the project. She highlighted the strategic role of the railway network in strengthening connectivity, facilitating passenger and freight transport, and advancing Gulf economic integration.
