Paris: Ambassador Essam Abdulaziz Al Jassim, Ambassador to the French Republic, received a delegation from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) - Medical University of Bahrain, as part of their visit to France to meet with university graduates currently enrolled in medical training programmes across French healthcare institutions.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ambassador Al Jassim highlighted the academic and professional achievements of Bahraini doctors in France, noting that the growing number of Bahraini trainees in French hospitals reflects the depth of cooperation between the two countries in medical education and training. He affirmed that this cooperation stems from the continued development of Bahraini-French ties in medical education, which has resulted in high-quality opportunities enabling Bahraini graduates to join residency programs at leading French hospitals. He emphasised the Embassy's ongoing commitment to supporting these graduates and facilitating their engagement with academic and medical institutions in France.
For his part, Stephen Harrison-Mirfield, Managing Director of RCSI Bahrain, commended the Embassy's efforts to strengthen academic and medical cooperation between Bahrain and France. He further affirmed the university's pride in the achievements of its graduates around the world.
