Cairo: The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt organized a reception to mark Bahrain's National Day and the 26th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's accession to the throne. The occasion was celebrated with various national events.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event saw the attendance of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, who represented Egypt's Prime Minister. The gathering also included senior Egyptian officials, ambassadors, military and cultural attach©s, media representatives, and figures from the business and cultural sectors.
In her speech, Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, offered her congratulations to His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. She emphasized Bahrain's developmental achievements and the robust Bahraini-Egyptian relations, which have evolved into a comprehensive strategic partnership.
The Ambassador reiterated the Embassy's dedication to deepening bilateral cooperation and applauded Bahrain's expanding international influence. She highlighted Bahrain's election to a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for 2026-2027 and its current presidency of the Gulf Cooperation Council, underscoring the Kingdom's commitment to dialogue, peace, and regional stability.
