Bahrain Embassy Hosts GCC Coordination Meeting on Human Rights in Cairo

Cairo: As part of the Kingdom of Bahrain's presidency of the 46th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Ambassador Dr. Yousef Abdulkarim Bucheeri, Director General of Legal Affairs and Human Rights, chaired the GCC coordination meeting on human rights. The meeting took place at the Embassy of Bahrain in the Arab Republic of Egypt, coinciding with the 57th session of the Arab Permanent Committee on Human Rights in Cairo.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Bucheeri highlighted the strong bonds of cooperation among GCC states and the ongoing development of relations, particularly in the domain of human rights. He underscored the significance of enhancing coordination and unifying positions among the relevant bodies within GCC countries to reflect joint efforts on shared human rights issues.

The meeting provided a platform for discussing various Gulf human rights topics and facilitated the exchange of views among heads of government human rights bodies in the GCC states. This dialogue aimed to reinforce joint work in the field of human rights, aligning efforts to address common concerns and challenges.
