Bahrain Defence Force Confirms Death of Moroccan Civilian Contractor in UAE Armed Forces

Manama: The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force has announced the death of a Moroccan civilian contractor serving with the UAE Armed Forces. This incident occurred while the contractor was on duty with Bahrain Defence Force personnel, defending the Kingdom of Bahrain against ongoing Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting the kingdom since February 28, 2026.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the General Command expressed its condolences to both the UAE Armed Forces and the family of the deceased. Additionally, the statement confirmed that several personnel from both the Bahrain and UAE armed forces sustained injuries while repelling Iran's aggression. These injured personnel were promptly evacuated for medical attention, with most injuries reported as minor to moderate. The majority of the injured have since been discharged from the hospital.

The Bahrain Defence Force assured that its personnel remain operational and committed to defending the Kingdom's airspace, territorial waters, and land. The force emphasized its dedication to safeguarding national security and stability amid the ongoing threats.

The General Command urged the public to rely on official channels for information and discouraged the dissemination of unverified reports.
