Bahrain Cycling Team Wins Five Medals at Arab Road Championship in Iraq

Sulaymaniyah: The Bahrain national cycling team concluded its participation in the Arab Road Cycling Championship, held in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, with strong performances against top riders from across the Arab world, including the UAE, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Qatar, and host nation Iraq. The championship took place from October 3 to 13.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahraini team returned home after delivering an impressive show that reflected the progress of Bahraini cycling. The team secured a total of five medals, two silver and three bronze, achieved by emerging talents from the Khalid bin Hamad Generation of Gold Cycling League.

The Bahraini delegation, which competed in the men's, youth, and junior categories, was headed by Sayed Shubbar Hilal Al Wedaei, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Cycling Association. The delegation also included Aqeel Abdulameer Mohammed, men's team manager; Fares Hussain, youth team manager; Isa Ayoub, cycling technician. Cyclists for the men's team were Ahmed Nasser, Ahmed Abdulghani, Mahdi Hassan, and Sayed Ahmed Khalil, while Mohammed Hassan Jassim, Amer Saleh Al Khasham, Humoud Awad Al Farhan, and Abdulaziz Saleh Al Hamri competed for the youth team, and Hassan Aqeel Thamer represented the juniors.
