Bahrain Crown Prince Celebrates Historic Handball Victory

Manama:His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Bahrain's national handball team's historic gold medal win at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahraini team achieved this landmark victory by defeating the Qatari national team in the final, marking the first time Bahrain has won gold in handball at the Asian Games.

Prince Salman highlighted that this sporting success is a testament to King Hamad's ongoing support for Bahraini sports, enhancing the Kingdom's reputation in regional and international competitions.

He also praised the contributions of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for their roles in advancing the sports sector. Their backing of national teams has been instrumental in achieving further sporting successes for Bahrain.

The Crown Prince commended the national handball team, including the players, technical and administrative staff, and the Bahrain Handball Association, for their determination and performance throughout the championship.
