Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed condemnation of the Knesset's approval of two draft bills that seek to impose Israeli sovereignty over the occupied West Bank and illegal settlements, deeming this a blatant violation of international law and United Nations Security Council resolutions.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Bahrain welcomed the position of U.S. President Donald Trump, which guarantees the preservation of the occupied West Bank, recognizing this as part of his efforts to promote comprehensive peace in the region.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the international community to fulfill its legal and moral obligations and called on Israel to cease its escalation and illegal measures. It also stressed the importance of fulfilling the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, as the essential prerequisite for achieving a just and lasting peace that guarantees regional security and stability.
