Muharraq: The Bahrain Chess Federation has officially launched the Bahrain Chess Championship 2025 at the Muharraq Youth Model Centre, attracting 100 players across various age groups and skill levels, including both professionals and amateurs.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Anmar Ibrahim Ahmadi, President of the Federation, emphasized that the tournament winner will be crowned as Bahrain's 2025 chess champion. He also highlighted the federation's partnership with the Muharraq Youth Model Centre and its initiatives to promote chess and increase the number of players engaged in the game.
The championship spans nine days and operates under the Swiss system, with matches overseen by accredited referees. The opening day of the tournament already saw robust competition among participants. The event will culminate in a closing ceremony where winners will be recognized and awarded prizes and certificates.
