Bahrain Chamber and Thailand Arbitration Center Forge Landmark Agreement


Manama: The Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR) has entered into a significant memorandum of understanding with the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) to bolster cooperation in international arbitration and dispute resolution.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement was signed virtually by Professor Marike Paulsson, Secretary General of BCDR, and Suriyapong Tubtimtae, Managing Director of THAC. This memorandum is the first of its kind between an Arab nation and the Kingdom of Thailand in the realm of arbitration, marking a pivotal step towards strengthening legal and professional ties between the Arab region and Southeast Asia.



The agreement underscores the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to fostering collaboration among dispute resolution institutions. It aims to promote cooperation and develop expertise in arbitration and dispute resolution through dialogue, knowledge exchange, and future partnerships. Furthermore, the memorandum aligns with Bahrain’s broader efforts to expand international partnerships and enhance institutional cooperation in this sector.
