Bahrain Celebrates National Day with Royal Pardons and Diplomatic Engagements


Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted the Kingdom’s National Day celebrations and recent diplomatic interactions. HM King extended congratulations to HM King of Bhutan and pardoned 963 inmates as part of the National Day celebrations. The celebrations were held under the patronage of HM King, marking a significant national event.



According to Bahrain News Agency, HM King received calls from HE the Iraqi Prime Minister and HE the Palestinian President, highlighting ongoing diplomatic communications. Additionally, HM King received an invitation from the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister to attend the Expo Riyadh 2030. The Custodian of Two Holy Mosques’ Special Adviser also extended congratulations to Bahrain on the occasion of its National Day.



The report further details that multiple members of the royal family, including HM King’s Personal Representative and various Sheikhs, extended their congratulations to HM King. The Crown Prince and Prime Minister also received numerous congratulatory messages, emphasizing Bahrain’s continued progress with citizens at the core of the Kingdom’s achievements.



In acknowledgment of the royal pardon granted to 963 inmates, both the Speaker and the Shura Chairman commended the decision, highlighting its significance in the context of the National Day celebrations. Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Interior Minister expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister, and the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Holding Company (KHGC) explored cooperation opportunities with the UK, indicating a focus on strengthening international relations.
