Bahrain Celebrates Historic Gold in Asian Games Handball

Manama:Aymen bin Tawfeeq Almoayed, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, praised Bahrain's handball team for securing their first-ever gold medal at the Asian Games, highlighting this achievement as a significant milestone for the Kingdom's sports development.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Almoayed credited the success to the backing and guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Their support has been pivotal in fostering a thriving environment for sporting excellence in Bahrain.

He extended his appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Council, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. Their leadership has been instrumental in advancing the sports sector and providing robust support to national teams.

Almoayed also acknowledged the Bahrain Handball Federation, along with the technical and administrative staff and players, for their dedication in achieving this historic continental title. He expressed confidence that this victory will inspire future generations and bolster Bahrain's reputation in international sport.
