Bahrain Braces for Thundery Showers and Strong Winds


Manama: The Meteorological Directorate in Bahrain has issued a weather forecast indicating that the region will experience rather cold weather initially, which will transition to cloudy conditions with a chance of scattered rain. There is a possibility of the rain becoming thundery, followed by cold weather with some clouds during the night.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the wind is expected to be mainly easterly at 5 to 10 knots, increasing to 12 to 17 knots, and then shifting to northwesterly winds at 17 to 22 knots. These winds could further intensify, reaching 22 to 27 knots later in the day, with gusts potentially reaching up to 35 knots at times. A warning has been issued for thundery showers accompanied by very strong gusts and strong winds.



The sea state is anticipated to be between 1 to 3 feet inshore and 4 to 8 feet offshore. Temperature is forecasted to reach a maximum of 21ºC and a minimum of 15ºC, with humidity levels ranging from a maximum of 95% to a minimum of 45%.
