Bahrain Boxing Team Holds Joint Training Sessions in Saudi Arabia

Manama: The Bahrain national boxing team held a series of joint training sessions with several clubs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, hosted by Samurai Club in the Eastern Province. The initiative reflects the strategic vision of the Bahrain Boxing Federation to enhance technical exposure and exchange expertise with neighbouring training schools, to maintain boxers at the highest levels of physical and mental preparedness. According to Bahrain News Agency, the sessions featured a competitive and high-energy atmosphere, with national team boxers taking part in intensive sparring sessions against top Saudi club athletes. The training provided an opportunity to test tactical abilities and gain new in-ring experience against opponents with diverse fighting styles, while also contributing to strengthening sporting cooperation between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Rashid Isa Feleyfel, President of the Bahrain Boxing Federation, commended the positive outcomes of the joint training sessions, noting that it comes at a t ime that requires intensified efforts to ensure readiness for upcoming competitions. Feleyfel said that the federation is committed to organising such sessions, driven by a firm belief in the importance of continuous and dedicated work to develop the national team's technical level. He added that the players have demonstrated determination and commitment to continue training despite the challenges facing the region, with the aim of representing Bahrain at upcoming international events. The federation president also expressed appreciation to Saudi Arabia and the management of Samurai Club for their hospitality and excellent organisation, emphasising the importance of continued cooperation that supports the development of boxing in both countries and advances the sport to broader horizons.
