Bahrain Bourse and INJAZ Bahrain Launch 8th Edition of Financial Literacy Programme

Manama: Bahrain Bourse (BHB), in collaboration with INJAZ Bahrain, has officially announced the launch of the 8th Edition of the Smart Investor Programme. This initiative aims to enhance financial literacy among fourth-grade elementary students across Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the programme educates students on various financial payment methods including debit and credit cards, cash, and cheques. It also introduces them to financial literacy terminology and the importance of saving and financial planning. HH Shaikha Hessa Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairperson of INJAZ Bahrain, expressed her pride in continuing this educational initiative, which aligns with INJAZ Bahrain's mission of empowering young children and preparing them for future financial competence.

Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse, noted the programme's success over the past seven years, having reached more than 49,000 students in 617 schools. He highlighted the necessity of financial education for students to navigate today's complex economic landscape.

The programme uses interactive edutainment activities to teach students money management and saving fundamentals, encouraging smart financial decisions. It includes seven themed sessions focusing on concepts such as Thinking, Specifying, Planning, Execution, Saving, Progression, and Evaluation.

Since its inception in the 2018-2019 academic year, the Smart Investor Programme has continued to evolve, with the fourth edition introducing a national competition to promote creativity and entrepreneurship. Bahrain Bourse and INJAZ Bahrain also expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Education for its essential role in the programme's success and acknowledged the support of Bank ABC and National Bank of Kuwait-Bahrain as Silver Sponsors for the 2025-2026 edition.
