Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its support for the United Nations Security Council resolution that endorses a comprehensive plan aimed at resolving the conflict in the Gaza Strip. The plan includes measures to solidify the ceasefire and establish a Board of Peace as a transitional administration with international legal recognition. The Board is tasked with coordinating funding for reconstruction and recovery, fully resuming humanitarian aid delivery, and establishing a temporary international force to ensure stability and civilian protection. It also aims to disarm, support Palestinian police forces, and implement other measures in line with international law and humanitarian principles.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed Bahrain's appreciation for the efforts of the United States in drafting the resolution and securing its adoption with the cooperation of Security Council members and regional and international partners. This initiative is based on US President Donald Trump's plan for lasting peace and prosperity, which received endorsement at the Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit.
The Ministry reaffirmed Bahrain's full support for the resolution's implementation, viewing it as a historic step toward enabling the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state. This move is seen as contributing to lasting security, comprehensive peace, and coexistence for all peoples in the region.
