Manama: Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, President of the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), has officially taken over the presidency of the Arab Renewable Energy Commission (AREC) for the term 2025-2028. This transition was formalized during a visit to Bahrain by Mohammad Nawaf Al Taani, Secretary-General of AREC, and Kamel Al Daqamsa, the Commission's Financial and Administrative Director.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the EWA President expressed gratitude to the delegation and all member states for their confidence in Bahrain's leadership. He praised the Commission's role in advancing joint Arab initiatives in renewable energy. He emphasized Bahrain's dedication to supporting the Commission's objectives and enhancing its influence as a crucial platform for promoting clean energy transitions in the Arab region.
