Manama: Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayyed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), and Fares Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), engaged in discussions with Witold Banka, President of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), focusing on enhancing cooperation in anti-doping initiatives and promoting sports integrity.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting explored strategies to reinforce Bahrain's collaboration with WADA, align with the international anti-doping code, and enhance national awareness, training, and capacity-building programmes. Al Moayyed highlighted Bahrain's dedication to maintaining clean sport and praised WADA's leadership in ensuring fairness and transparency in sports globally.
Al Kooheji expressed the Olympic Committee's interest in extending collaboration on educational programmes specifically designed for athletes and coaches. Banka acknowledged Bahrain's advancements in anti-doping compliance and affirmed WADA's willingness to offer technical support to bolster national efforts in this domain.
