Manama:A Bahraini parliamentary delegation met with a delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan during the Asian Parliamentary Assembly's (APA) Standing Committee on Social and Cultural Affairs meeting.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahraini delegation was led by MP Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom, who represented Bahrain as the current APA president. The Tajik delegation was headed by Mavsuma Muini, Deputy Chairwoman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Assembly of Representatives) of the Majlisi Oli (Parliament) of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Both delegations explored ways to strengthen parliamentary cooperation between Bahrain and Tajikistan, focusing on enhancing coordination and communication among their legislative institutions. Discussions also covered potential collaboration in economic and cultural fields, emphasizing the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in supporting bilateral relations and sharing expertise.
The Bahraini delegation included Dr. Abdulaziz Hassan Abul, a member of the Shura Council; MP Bader Saleh Al Tamimi; and Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary General of the Council of Representatives and Secretary of the Parliamentary Delegation's Executive Committee.
