Manama: The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications held a virtual meeting with Saudi Arabia's Transport General Authority, co-chaired by Fatima Abdulla Al Dhaen, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Post, and Fawaz bin Zan'aaf Al Sahli, Vice President for the Regulatory Sector.
According to Bahrain News Agency, discussions focused on strengthening transport cooperation, exchanging technical and regulatory expertise, and advancing joint projects in infrastructure, digital transformation, and logistics. The meeting served as a platform for both parties to share insights and strategies to enhance mutual transport systems and address shared challenges.
The meeting also reviewed developments related to land connectivity, the Unified Land Transport System, and the GCC railway project, in line with Bahrain-Saudi coordination efforts and regional integration initiatives. Both countries are committed to working together to achieve these goals, which are crucial for the economic and logistical integration of the region.
