New York:Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, met with Javier Martnez-Acha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Panama, during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Bahrain and Panama, aiming to strengthen and expand their bilateral relations.
The ministers addressed regional issues, including disruptions to maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab Al Mandab, which have implications for international trade and the global economy. They also discussed efforts to improve regional security and stability.
Both sides explored the potential for increased cooperation and coordination during their terms as UN Security Council members, sharing perspectives on regional and international matters of mutual concern. The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Jamal Fares Al Rowaiei, Bahrain's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York.
