Geneva: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, met with Faisal Al Fayez, Chairman of the Jordanian Holidays Council, during the 151st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva. The meeting, attended by other key figures from Bahrain and Jordan, focused on enhancing parliamentary cooperation and consolidating relations between the two nations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting included prominent attendees such as Dr. Bassam Ismail Al Binmohammed, a member of the Shura Council, MPs Hassan Ibrahim Hassan and Maryam Saleh Al Dhaen, Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla, Permanent Representative of Bahrain to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Mohamed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary General of the Council of Representatives, and Kareema Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council. Speaker Al Musallam emphasized ongoing efforts to strengthen parliamentary collaboration and acknowledged the achievements under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and His Majesty King Abdullah bin Al Hussein of Jordan.
Al Musallam highlighted the expanding cooperation as a reflection of the shared commitment to progress that benefits both nations and their peoples. He also recognized the contributions of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II of Jordan in supporting joint programs. The speaker praised the continuous meetings and exchanges that bolster Arab parliamentary visions on regional and international platforms.
Faisal Al Fayez, on his part, expressed gratitude for Bahrain’s role in promoting peace and development, underscoring the enduring relations and mutual dedication to regional stability.
