According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Humaidan reiterated Bahrain's dedication to incorporating international best practices within the sustainable energy sector. He outlined national strategies aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and increasing the use of renewable energy sources. These strategies align with Bahrain's goals of reducing carbon emissions by 30% by 2035 and achieving net zero emissions by 2060.
The meeting further explored mutual interests and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in renewable energy and energy security. Minister Fratin acknowledged Bahrain's advancements in clean energy and conveyed Italy's interest in fostering cooperation.
