Bahrain Ambassador to US Participates in 2026 Arab Conference at Harvard

Cambridge: Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States of America, participated in the 2026 Harvard Arab Conference (ACH26), where he addressed a panel focused on the future of regional alliances amidst rapid shifts in the Middle East.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ambassador highlighted that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain has effectively mobilised its military and security resources. This mobilization aims to protect the country's sovereignty and counter recent Iranian aggressions. He detailed Bahrain's resilience strategy, which incorporates integrated civil defence systems, early warning mechanisms, and a comprehensive national response prioritizing transparency and the continuity of daily life.

Ambassador Al Khalifa also underscored the strength of the strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United States, particularly through the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA). He noted that this agreement has evolved into a multilateral framework with the inclusion of the United Kingdom. The activation of Article II within this framework has played a crucial role in enhancing Bahrain's defence capabilities.

In his concluding remarks, the Ambassador pointed to Bahrain's leadership during its United Nations Security Council presidency and the adoption of Resolution 2817 as evidence of its commitment to global stability. He reiterated that regional security relies on unified cooperation between the GCC and international partners, emphasizing that continuous dialogue remains essential for addressing the complex security and economic challenges in the region.
