Bahrain Ambassador Joins Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026

Manama: Ahmed Ibrahim Al Qurainees, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Federal Republic of Germany, participated in the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026, held in Gdansk, Poland. The event was a significant gathering aimed at discussing strategies for Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the conference was jointly hosted by the governments of Poland and Ukraine. It attracted representatives from various governments, international organizations, and the private sector, all focusing on enhancing international collaboration to support Ukraine's recovery, reconstruction, and long-term resilience.

The conference concluded with the signing of more than 160 agreements, collectively valued at over £10 billion. Among these agreements was a US$3.39 billion deal with the World Bank and the first £3.2 billion tranche of the European Union's new financial instrument. Additionally, the European Flagship Fund for the Reconstruction of Ukraine was launched, along with several other initiatives designed to aid Ukraine's recovery efforts.
