Bahrain Ambassador Joins GCC Diplomats in High-Level Meeting with German Foreign Minister

Berlin: Ahmed Ibrahim Al Qarainees, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Federal Republic of Germany, joined with ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in a high-level meeting with Dr. Johann Wadephul, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany, in Berlin. During the meeting, the ambassadors expressed their appreciation to Germany for its firm condemnation of the unjustified Iranian attacks targeting GCC countries and several Arab states.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ambassadors noted that these attacks struck civilian sites, critical infrastructure, and oil and gas facilities. The envoys also welcomed Germany's stance rejecting Iranian threats to close the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that such actions would violate international law, including the Law of the Sea.

The ambassadors further commended Germany for adopting United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817, highlighting that the move reflects Berlin's support for GCC countries and its commitment to strengthening regional security and stability. Discussions also covered the latest regional developments, with both sides underscoring the importance of continued coordination and cooperation to promote security and stability across the region.
