Bahrain All Share Index Closes Lower with Sector Drops

Manama: Bahrain All Share Index has closed at 1,963.23 points, marking a decrease of 2.00 points below the previous closing. This decline was attributed to a drop in the consumer discretionary sector, the materials sector, and the consumer staples sector.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahrain Islamic Index, on the other hand, showed a positive movement, closing at 921.60 points, an increase of 2.08 points above the previous closing. The results from the trading day indicated that 143 equity transactions occurred, with a volume of 1,464,564 and a total worth of BD 611,684.

Investors focused their trading mainly within the materials sector, which accounted for 39.23% of the total value of securities traded.
