Bahrain All Share Index Closes Lower as Financials and Materials Sectors Decline

Manama: Bahrain All Share Index has closed at 1,951.60 points, marking a decrease of 0.88 points below the previous closing. This decrease was primarily due to a drop in the financials sector and the materials sector.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahrain Islamic Index showed a contrasting trend by closing at 928.91 points, marking an increase of 1.35 points above the previous closing. The market activity included 83 equity transactions with a trading volume of 1,410,267 and a total value of BD 469,125.

Investors predominantly focused on the financials sector, which represented 87.65% of the total value of securities traded. This significant concentration in trading activities within the financials sector highlights the sector's influence on the overall market performance.
